XXVII AESLA International Conference

Call for papers

XXVII AESLA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: “Ways and Modes of Human Communication” / “Modos y Formas de la Comunicación Humana”

Dear Colleague,

The Spanish Applied Linguistics Association (AESLA) is pleased to announce its XXVII Annual Conference to be held at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain) on March 26-28, 2009.

This International Conference will count on the presence of the following distinguished speakers:

  • Gunther Kress (University of London).
  • Salvatore Attardo (Texas A&M University-Commerce, USA).
  • Charles Forceville (Universiteit van Amsterdam).
  • Alan Cienki (Vrije Universiteit, Ámsterdam).
  • Mª Luisa Villanueva (Universitat Jaume I, Castellón).

The Conference will cover the following areas:

Proposals (pertaining to the areas mentioned above and max. 500 words, figures and references apart) must be submitted using the page of the conference at http://www.aesla.uji.es/congresoxxvii/proposalsubmission no later than October 31st, 2008.

Reviewers will evaluate the contributions and will contact the authors regarding acceptance or rejection before November 30th. Contributors who wish to publish the extended versions of their submissions (aprox. 2500 words, references included) in the Conference Proceedings book should send their extended versions no later than January 15th 2009 (follow the style sheet at http://www.aesla.uji.es/?q=reslahojadeestilo)

Official languages: Spanish and English
